    That's not a NTR (A.K.A. Nuclear Engine) in the sense NASA would use it. An NTR passes liquid hydrogen trough a reactor core, which creates immense pressures. The hydrogen, gasseous at this point, is then ejected out of the nozzle and creates incredibly efficient thrust. It has nothing to do with neutrons.
