This is a view of what used to be both the Andromeda and Milky Way galaxies. Some billions of years after the Sun became a white dwarf, this new galaxy had fully formed from the merging of the 2.

    Milkdromeda would have sounded much better, unfortunately scientists named it milkomeda xD (check it out on wikipedia)
