this is actually quite well known, i think its becuase coal when its created by the brush has a life of 50 meaning it will burn for 50 frames, but when you do the command it appears with a life of 0, and since TPT can't run any fire scripts while paused it has to wait until you unpause, which is when it spontaniously combusts
