This is a small resistor I came up with. There may be similar saves, but I promise I invented this independently. Enjoy!

Yeah, resistors are never polarized. Plus this has been used for years, so I totally agree with SandwichLizard -

well. it does reduce spark. it is a basic principal, no one is going to make any claims of it being "theirs". nor can you say "hey thats my design". this has been used by many people litterally for years. also resitors are never polarized. diodes and capacitors yes but not resistors. that said, keep designing. you may hit on something no one has thought of.
