*CONTINUATION* So really there's no need to worry, the surgeons know what they're doing (If you're going to a hospital, street surgery doesn't count) and the tools and machines are much more advanced now, healing should be quick (For Cervical Surgery ~3 Weeks Minimum 5 Max) and you don't really have to worry about complications, Obviously you should prepare for them, but don't worry about it. Whelp, good luck, lets all hope that your insurance covers this.

But in all seriousness though, Cervical Vertebre are actually moderately easier to do surgery on, especially the discs. Considering the discs are usually less compressed. And those two vertebre could not have been broken by just work. Usually that's due to whiplash, or hypercompression. If you ever put a lot of weight on your head, were in a lucky accident, or have bad posture. That's pretty much in the area it's be (C4-C6 Discs).

That cyst could've destroyed my brother. If my dad wasn't at that meeting, then my brother would've gotten his back fused and wouldn't walk anymore.

My brother had a cyst next to his vertebrae. I don't know which one, but it was there. Funny thing, My dad was at this meeting that talked about this type of cyst 2 weeks earlier. My brother got it fixed, and now he'll be ok. Just thought I should talk about that.
