  I build an experimental ballista that is 5 times the size of my current one (which is the size of a large wagon). It uses iron for the bow instead of wood. The iron is pounded into thin sheets, which are then baked and then left to cool to make them more flexible. The sheets are then cut and folded before being sealed together by heating them until they partially melt. This makes the ballista capable of firing a projectile the size of a medium tree at very long ranges.

  800 of those troops will be from the local reserve militia, with 200 of my elite troops helping them. This is probably a plot from someone to get me to move my forces elsewhere so that they can invade me.

  Whoa whoa whoa. Those bandits control a lot of land. I send an additional 1000 men to kill the bandits, along with 15 sets of ballista that will spray arrows at the bandits.
