    it is random, it's just that the corners are less likley to get the electrons the cloner is spawning, if you put more pscn and connect the wiring to it, it's about even

    It is and it isn't! I just ran a test of my own with rotated and flipped copies of a setup like this, and the non-randomness varied randomly -- but each copy had its own predictable pattern. Fascinating.
