    Its very simple, thats same as sound wave...But time travel, noone know is that true or not but i think u could only see the past but not change it... The next thing i dont understand is if u fly with a plane and use a lighter so that speed gonna be plane+light or just light. Dont forget the speeds of spinning Earth and all the galaxy...

    @idon For example, if a star 45 lightyears from earth went supernova (assuming we can see a star that far away), it would take 45 years for us to see the supernova from Earth.
