Oh i see, the light going to our eyes that is coming from the planet is from x seconds, minutes or even hours ago, and thats why we see planets in the past. Does that mean andromeda might not actually exist anymore?

@SadClock: The key to making a laser is the PCLN - Powered clone. It creates a straight beam of protons. Coupled with VOID to keep only the lines you want, you have a laser! :P Now, heating is a different story..

The stars do the same thing. like if the stars explode, it will take around ???? years to get to earth so we can see it. So even after it exploded, does not mean you cant see it, there is still some light left of it which is travelling to earth.

Z3R01215 That is what time dilation and the theory of relativity are. In your perspective, the light travels the speed of light how it would normally, but from someone on the ground, the plane is actually moving slightly slower in time, and due to this the light moves at the same speed as it would always. Or something like that :P
