    It's faster, specifically, because the fast pipe was generated in five separate 1px-thick rows, which is the only way to make auto-generated pipe conveyers move at their fastest possible speed. ..They were presumably then pasted together carefully ;P

    yes, it is faster because the pipes dont 'conduct' to each other radioactivated.
