That's definitely not how the human body works badder, it's not the death thing that matters, it's the decomposition events, because believe it or not bacteria will eventually break down the human matter completely, since the brain is matter, that eventually rots, zombies are nothing but viruses, the beings still have properties of decomposition and eventually the remains will be skeletons,and even if the brain survived, the muscles won't so the zombies won't move anything at all!

umm 987tails i must disagree with you the human mind cannot die unless say you were shot in the head so it destroyed the brain so as long as the brain survied the zombies could turn skelotons and some how stay a zombie withount flesh

technically the apocalypse spreads but really after 5 years the zombies will eventualy disintergrate and completely rot away, its by not fiction but laws of physics, that a biotic will awys break down the same way a rock erodes. so technnically no the apocalypes wont last forever unless the zombies found a replacement of their old selves.
