@choruseye after reading up on the beast, I suppose it is simmilar to my biomorphs. The biomorphs can take over ships by connecting their nerves to the disabled ships electronics. -

also to get the deco like i do, just get some dark oranges, reds, and yellows and draw the yellow all over it first, then draw thin lines of the others all over that, then just smudge it, ill post a tutorial -
