The virs's tmp decides what element the virs will "disinfect" into, and pqrt's varying color also is determined by tmp2. Virs can only store one tmp2 so it loses the info regarding the pqrtz's color. This could be fixed by using the virs's tmp to record an element's tmp2, but that would stop it from recording tmp, which generaly is more important. Also, congrats for reading this far it wouldn't work if powder mode is on because virs does remember deco. +1
