'do you know how much people died there' yeah, 30 people directly related to the primary explosion, some got trapped under reactor pumps like khodemchuk, others died from fallen rubble landing on them, i know this wasnt directed at me but still -

I don't see how comparing the self-destruct button to Chernobyl makes him insensitive. Chernobyl did directly kill people through acute radiation exposure, though. -

Chernobyl actually did directly kill lots of people. All those in the immediate vicinity of the reactor were "cooked" alive by radiation. -
