put a single proton. Waves of negative pressure spread outwards, and as the PROT disturbs the electronics, holes in the graph appear. This goes on for some time, slowly getting hotter and hotter, until your FPS starts to go down.
You don't see much, or know what's happening, but there are already several thousand protons and their number is increasing. Soon, the rising number of hot protons floods the screen from all places, and the machine is destroyed. The remaining protons fade away, never to be seen again.
