Here's one way to destroy it put VIRS on something then once its all infected, heat it up with HEAT then disenfect with soap and the entire thing is shuffled and messed up. -

Top city got eviscerated, only pieces of it were left, the bunker part got turned into a molten sphere that is now a literal sun with its outer atmoshpere (Intense heat makes ambient heat unable to cool it down too). Has an unstable sunspot on the NW of it's surface.
