    Someguy12: It's not that. It is because the LOXY turns into OXYG and generates pressure and NITR catches on fire under pressure. To prove it just put NITR and OXYG together and it won't light on fire.

    It explodes because what we call burning is actually oxidizing, meaning that an oxygen atom is added to the molecule. And the breaking of the glass is because glass is brittle material.
