    Well yeah. Warp drive speeds is sort of.. well.. In technical terms being engines and man-made reaching speeds of mach 1 is pretty impressive. Warp speed, however, is not. While Mach is speed, Warp Drives are more or less teleporters. Coming out on one side of the universe may be a second for you, but it would be most likely two days for someone not on the ship.

    Mach 1 is good for a fighter that is designed for maneouverability, lightyears a minute and hyperspace would instantly send the fighter out of the atmosphere and it would most likely not be able to be controlled and possibly be disintegrated or heavily damaged.
