besides, @bimmo_devives that isn't binary, binary goes... 00 01 011 0100 0101 0110 0111 01000 and so on... (before any idiots say anything the 0 at the start is a placeholder, for people USING binary, not playing with it.)

this machine simulates cellular automata - one dimentional auomata. the rule (I think) gives the possible outcomes against possible combinations of a cell and the cell's neighbours. Is it ordered like binary? (1st is 000, 2nd is 001 ... 101, 110, 111)

What is this susposed to do? All I get is a spark hits some metal buttons labeled "Rule".
