I'd just like to point out that... Well, the Mayan calendar organizes years into 14-thousand something or other days. December 21, 2012 is just the end of their 13th year for this grouping of years (each grouping being seperated by periods where the gods destroyed everything and started fresh). Hence the fear that this will be the end of the current grouping, and we'll start "fresh" again. -
