The shelter uses solar energy to provide power for the television and light. There is also a water filtration and storage system for the water. It is 99.9% destroyable. (Theres a bit of dlay in the Sun) Post improvements in the comments.

    Protects the people inside from radiation...unfortunately, the water was irradiated. Have fun with your mutation, if you survive the radiation sickness AND cancer.

    Good but 1 problem: A nuke is detonated, that covers everything with ash and blocks out the sun. Solar panels?

    A Fallout Shelter is to protect from Fallout, not nukes. Even the best nuke bunkers aren't designed to completely block the explosion. They don't eactly need power to live you know. The filtration system is not run on electricity. It's only temporary shelter until someone can get you out of it and say it's all clear.
