Dead yeast is formed when yeast dies on contact with neutrons or from overheating above 99.85°C. Dead yeast shares its physical properties (weight, gravity, etc.) with yeast.

Creation

Dead yeast kills any yeast particle it touches, allowing one to make more dead yeast:
