Liquid crystal. Changes colour when charged. (PSCN charges, NSCN discharges)

Uses

Acts as an LCD screen (hence "Liquid Crystal" Display). Good for many animations, coloured or black/white. Allows Photons to pass through slowly when charged. Good for controlled solar-panels. You can change the colour of LCRY by using the Decoration Layer. (attach pics here)
