Shatters breakable elements in a imperfect circle (Does not match circle brush) with a 23.5 pixel radius. This effect is seperate from pressure, as can be observed when interacting with coal, which usualy turns to BCOL with a delay. Even with other elements, pressure would create a rugged edge, because of the 4x4 grid it is calculated in. DMG also ONLY creates pressure (Only about 16-15 units of pressure) around particles (In pressure grid spaces occupied by particles) in that radius. This effect will launch powders (including things it powderized) and liquids away from the original DMG particle. Those effects cannot be stopped, even by particles that would block pressure and walls
