    With what options. How does your makefile look like. What compiler are you compiling with?

    not using GNU/Linux, using visual studio express right now

    I know. But I still want to know the answer to those questions. Makefile is probably some vcproj file or something.

    About the effects, they are now much smaller and looks more like actual particles.

    Well it does have a makefile, but I thought that wasn't for Windows. anyway, the makefile does reference win32 quite a bit so,

    Compile with the makefile. I think there nmake for windows. (comes with Visual C++ I think)
