4x 32gb 15k WD, (SCSI raid 2 as NTFS) with all my games / programs
    2 of: 4x4gb SDcard>SATA adapter/raid (old-cheap SSD solution) with windoze7 and linux
1x 260gb sata 7krpm drive to keep this and that on until i dump it on my NAS

what was in my main machine:
8x 120gb ide (pata) raid 6 that were cheap and i had a 4 slot/8drive pata raid card from god knows when sitting in a pile of computer bits, and i have 4 spare identical drives for when one does poop.

Thats sitting in my little NAS/Scanner/Printer/MediaServer/TorrentSeeder/Always-on machine now because it clogged my drivebays and airflow (and hurt my PSUs powerflow) on my main rig

said little machine runs a BSD distro from a 8gb micro usb stick that i soldierd directly onto a usb hookup on the Mainboard

i got most of my data storage bits from company chuckouts for less than a packet of fish n chips, the ide drives were still in their damn original sealed packaging.

I love it. I have had 2 computers with dead HDDs, and one with a failing one. With it, no more hard drive failures!
