on my pc baking in blender takes 50x longer then rendering...
1-2 hours is a bit optimistic...

(if you upload to youtube, then first encode the video to .webm, this will save you and youtube time in uploading and publishing)

I love Blender. I recently made my 1st Blender creation, a fluid animation of wine pouring into a wine glass. The only thing is that my computer is so slow (single-core intel petium 4 CPU w/no more than 1Gb RAM) that, with the heavy use of raytracing I made to model the materials for the glass and wine, I can't get a decent render time anywhere but a distributed-computing renderfarm!O_O Then I find that I can't pack the fluid data into the .blend, so I can't render it on the rederfarm *twitch*. I think that I can do it, though, if I port the fluid sim to the BGE and then bake the game physics to ipo and then pack the resulting animated mesh into the .blend and upload to the farm. All that for my first Blender creation!!! O.O

I have no idea about the terminology that you're using, but I LOVE FLUID PHYSICS! I have Blender but I don't know how to use it and I don't think I would want to yet. Is there any way I can see your animation?

Once I render it I'll post a link. I'm kinda holding off on finishing it untill I get a website finished and online for my as-yet-nonexistent web-based software company of the same name as my username on the PT forum. Be warned, though, that this could take me a little while because I'm writing all of the code for the site by hand.

EDIT: I love the fluid physics as well. I also really like the particle simulator and the BGE (Blender Game Engine).
