It means that things like the detector don't have to be made in giant chunks that destroy other elements when they are placed, they could be made to be 1X1 or 2X2 like other elements only square, right? It's less cumbersome and allows for much smaller components in creations, also, the ability to make them destructable would also be nice, the way we have metal that breaks when it is hit by high pressure, why couldn;t some walls do that? (obviously not the plain, indestructable wall, but the others, and make it an option!)
Beacuse, I'm sure some people would like to have small creations, and breakable versions would be all the better!
Tried that before... The result was it was really slow (reason was it was like 2 layers of particles (like running two powder toy screens at the same time minus walls) opposed to 1 and 1/16 layers (1 for particles and 1/16 for walls)) It is possible, but again, it is very slow.
This isn't really doable. Walls are bad enough as it is in the code, making them less than 4x4 would break things due to how the pressure and velocity grids use that spacing.
