You've all seen this a million times already. "make nitrogen! it spawns from ln2", etc. The main complaint I've seen is that it would break saves by spamming useless gas all over the place. My solution: make NTRG despawn over time. Nitrogen makes up the majority of Earth's atmosphere, so having NTRG diffuse and fade away makes sense.
Stats:
Name: NTRG
Description: Nitrogen. Diffuses into air, condenses into LN2 when cold.
Color: Medium blue to dark indigo, depending on life.
State: Gas, condenses into liquid at extremely low temperatures.
Reactions: Spawned from LN2, puts out fires, diffuses and despawns over time. Despawns more quickly in contact with OXYG.
NTRG can be spawned in two ways. It can be directly placed as most other elements are, and it has a 50% chance of spawning when LN2 evaporates. When spawned normally, it has a life of 1500; this decreases by 1 every frame. When spawned by evaporating LN2, it has a life varying between 50 and 200; this decreases as before. NTRG's color, as stated above, varies depending on its life. If its life is between 350 and 1500, it's a medium blue. If it is below 350, it fades to dark indigo; at 0 it no longer renders at all and despawns immediately. If its ctype is 1, it neither fades out or despawns, for planetary atmospheres, fire extinguishers, and other uses.
Any ideas to make this better?
1.Break saves. LN2 didn't make NTRG - NTRG can cause pressure and destruct LN2 machine. Also CLNE(LN2) will not work - NTRG blocks it.
2.No more reason. One reason is much enough.
