Sorry for being off-topic.
Debian Jessie/Sid (I have both in sources.list) as my primary OS
Secondary is windows 7 home premium (laptop)
jacob1:
I thought it might be cool to see some stats so I did this:Number of users with each os, multiples for the same user not counted twice:
Windows XP : 6 (MiningMarsh, Fakenublet, fireball5000, greymatter, whizkid22298, Kikinicij)
Windows Vista: 3 (hittox, whizkid22298, billion57)
Windows 7 : 13 (jacob1, boxmein, mniip, GreenFireDragon, ristovski, cyberdragon, wolfy1339, whizkid22298, firefreak11, Kikinicij, hamada, plead-for-destruction, Poorsoft)
Windows 8 : 8 (hittox, jenn4, GreenFireDragon, greymatter, wolfy1339, whizkid22298, Kikinicij, hamada)
Debian: 3 (jacob1, mniip, ristovski)
Ubuntu: 2 (boxmein, firefreak11)
Gentoo: 1 (MiningMarsh)
Arch : 1 (ristovski)
Mac: 2 (fireball5000, firefreak11)
People who primary / secondary different os's (might have been better to split windows into XP, 7, and 8):
primary windows : 16 (Fakenublet, jacob1, boxmein, hittox, jenn4, GreenFireDragon, fireball5000, greymatter, cyberdragon, wolfy1339, whizkid22298, billion57, firefreak11, Kikinicij, hamada, plead-for-destruction, Poorsoft)
secondary windows: 3 (MiningMarsh, mniip, ristovski)
primary linux : 3 (MiningMarsh, mniip, ristovski)
secondary linux : 3 (jacob1, boxmein, firefreak11)
Tried to figure out who dual booted and who didn't, also if you triple booted, or something even more, counted as dual booting:
dual(+) booters: 7 (MiningMarsh, jacob1, boxmein, mniip, GreenFireDragon, ristovski, firefreak11, hamada)
single booters : 13 (FakeNublet, hittox, jenn4, fireball5000, greymatter, cyberdragon, wolfy1339, whizkid22298, billion57, Kikinicij, plead-for-destruction, Poorsoft)
notes: didn't count people that said they were getting linux in the future. Counted myself as Debian (LMDE is similar). Counted Poorsoft as windows 7 (/ctcp Poorsoft version). Assumed hamada was dual booting.
I've noticed that at first a lot of os-savvy people with dual boots and linux posted, later all the general "windows x" people that are the majority of computer users posted. Overall it seems like the forum users here seems to use more os'es and like to experiment with linux, I didn't include most "I experiment with linux" posts in this since it didn't really count (vm's, or "I will in the future"), but a lot of people here are definitely smart.
Also people with linux tend to keep their original windows partitions it seems (so hard to get a computer without windows pre-installed), even if they never use that os at all.
i aint dual boots i got 5 diff computers... just saying
