ambient heat insulator and shield

ambient heat is great but it can also be dangerous since it goes right through everything.  i don't know if it's possible to make something that blocks ambient heat in this game, but i think it would be very useful.

two new elements.  they could just be called Ambient Insulator and Ambient Shield.  they would be colored slightly differently from INSL and SHLD, and they would block ambient heat as well as having all the properties that INSL and SHLD have.

This has been requested tons of times. It's actually time that this is being implemented.

In the meantime, ambient heat can be blocked with walls.

He could have just lingered around in the forums for a long time without saying anything

(I used to do that ^.^)

This can be done with a TUGN TTAN alloy, but it would be nice as a sepreate element, especally if it can withstand high tempatures (over 9000 degrees)

Check out my aluminum thread. I wanted a new element that would block ambient heat.

I got around the melting problem in my save by installing a fan.... A realy powerful fan. It blows away the air around it and hence the ambient heat at 251 psi pressure. I also used NTCT with TTAN as it is the fastest cooling element.

That said it would be nice to have an element that blocks everything. But given the coding used to block pressure  for ttan, it would probably need to be as thick as wall anyway.
