Filament and Grid

Vacuum tube parts. But with many other uses.

Filament: Similar to tungsten but emits electrons or photons (depending on either ctype or tmp, can also be set to emit nothing) when energized. Also gets hot with a certain setting (either tmp or tmp2)

    Name: FMNT

    Color: 666666 (why not?)

    Spawn Temp: 22 C

Properties: Cannot be sparked by electrons

Use: Lasers, lamps, reactors,...tubes. :P (bombs?)

Grid: Repels only energy particals when energized. Cannot be sparked by electrons.

    (continuos power needed or on/off?)

    Name: GRID (duh)

    Color: (hmm...silvery?)

    Spawn Temp: 22 C

    Properties: Adjustable repulsive power

Uses: sheilds/armor walls, valves in reactors, lasers

FMNT: Ummmm...I think you may need to make it more unique.

    GRID: YUMMY!!! +1

    EDIT:

    FMNT: MMMMMMM, SOUNDS TASTY!

    (I had a realization.)

hmm.... your filament suggestion could be easily integrated into tungsten. Like perhaps it could emit low amounts of red photons when it glows red, and as the glow gets more intense and hotter, it could emit more yellow hues at higher amounts.

The grid suggestion seems very similar to LCRY interacting with PHOT... though an almost identical affect can be create with energy wall and the selectively permeable wall..

Try looking at the tungsten I coded in the Realistic Science mod. It lights up when sparked and when sparked again it returns to its original colour.

i really want some sort of thing that attracts a particle within a certain radius, but repels it when it gets too close, like it forms a ring around itself. would be useful for fusion methinks... but i like this indeed.

To prevent breaking saves, have it when tmp is 1, tungsten emits the photons.

    @Cyberdragon

Don't you just love how you suggest something then someone says it can be done with walls? :P

'Cause who needs something small enough to fit anywhere when you can have something Ginormous and next to useless?
