Electric layer.

    Hello all.

    I`ve got an idea.

    An Electric layer.

This can only contain electronics, Bray, WIFI  and DLAY(No CRAY, MERC, TESC, LIGH).

Its not affected by anything like pressure, velocity and gravity.

No heat simulation on in it and you can switch to it with a button next to the pause button.
There would be a element more: LAWI(LAyer-WIfi).

This would transfer an electric signal to the electric layer.

Uses:Better electronics and more good stuff.

    Feedback:                HERE

No point in doing this, electronics is fine as it is right now.

Well sometimes the simulation is too small to make some good electronics

All this would do is make gameplay less immersive and unrealistic.

    Why unrealistic?

    TPT isn`t  super realistic btw..

But why make it more unrealistic?

Also, when you mean layering, does that mean that it is a separate simulation that is layered onto the original simulation? Is this a feature that would be toggled? (almost all saves require interactions with electronic elements)

You have also not made 1 published electronics save, so you cannot really enforce what you are trying to say really.. It's not as if adding this is going to make your window any bigger.

No use. things like this has been suggested already and rejected. if it was ever implemented it will cause TONS of lag by filling both the layers with all sort of stuff. Besides, if you make your electronics using 1 pix width wires wifi etc and arrange it neatly and systematicly, you have no trouble fitting large electronics saves into TPT window.

I don't see why not try compacting down your original electonics won't work for you...
Anyhow, considering this was to be done, what'd have to happen:
    1. A rewritten Simulation class to just keep tabs on a few elements.
    2. Interaction code
    3. Switching code
    4. Display code for each of the layers
    5. User Interface button

No...The full mutli-layer idea is much better.

ok i really don't see any reason to add an extra layer to TPT unless you are HORRIBLE at making compact electronics, if you just go to work without rhyme or reason, you soon take up the entire screen with electronics that could fit into a 100 by 100 square block of pixels and still maintain full operation
