    COAL has this thing with life which makes it hard to extinguish. This also makes it the perfect substitute for peat. :D

    I just drop some SLTW (i dont know SLTW, as it spawns SALT after SLTW is dropped on burning COAL) to prevent some parts of coal being ignited (the salt settles on burning coal and sort of stops it from burning), i made a "realistic CO2 fire extinguisher" a few months ago but i think i've deleted it.

    I dont find it hard to extinguish COAL, just spam it with some WATR. I also just tried that cooling COAL down with LN2 and then using WATR makes it alot easier to extinguish.

    you shouldn't -have- to spam it though. but as boxmein said, this gives it an interesting property.
