I never knew that adding coal to iron created metal. Metal is stainless but it doesn't work for electrolysis. Just thinking, possibly the IRON with a different tmp wouldn't heat when sparked (like RBDM) to avoid turning the water into steam. This wouldn't break any saves, would it?
Is there some dire need to use metal in electrolysis? o_o You're supposed to use distilled water in electro anyway.
Failing that (and considering that oxygen tends to erode iron too), just design a system for iron that allows the water to flow through without ever running out of sparked iron. It's not impossible. :P

You don't even need to have water equalization on
