Can electrolysis of water vapour occur IRL? I thought it was just liquid water that could be electrolysed, since as far as I remember, electrolysis involves H+ and OH- ions in the water being attracted to the electrodes and then converted to gases by adding or removing electrons. If the water is in the form of a gas, it doesn't dissociate into ions, so this can't occur.
