SPRK in water deflecting NEUT bug?

Was messing around with a neutron laser underwater (not hot, through), and i noticed something...
SPRK, when travelling through WATR, seems to deflect neutrons as if it was a solid travelling through liquid...
In this image, the NEUT below the SPRK seems to be trapped....is this a bug?

That's not all that occurs: Falling water that is sparked will levitate for a few frames, since SPRK apparently is a solid element.
