TS3 Drains internet as fast as a river flows...
I've used TS3 6 times for 1 hour periods on a really decent connection which usually doesn't die until the 2nd week.
When I used TS3 it died within 7 days. (the 6 periods of time within this time frame)
With skype atleast the people with slower connections have an option whether or not to talk using a conference call.
With skype I have used it nonstop, always on for 4 weeks and my internet is completly back to normal.
Skype has better resource managment, Plus it is more user friendly for a majority of people.
