A Random Life Idea

I thought of a random life idea with these rules:

Cell on its own = Places a cell on each diagonal corner
Cell with a cell on top / underneath = Places a cell to the left & right
Cell with a cell to the left / right = Places a cell to the top & bottom
Cell with a cell on a diagonal corner = Places a cell horizontal & vertical towards the cell
Cell fully surrounded = Gets removed

I am going to make a GIF to show what would happen to a single cell on a 20x20 grid in 20 frames.

If any of you know how to program it would be pretty awesome if this was made :D

Admittedly 'Life' rules don't really work this way, but it'd be pretty easy to make a program to do that.

The Game of Life in general works differently than what you described here. This makes it easy to write one pack of code for all the life forms. Pretty much it goes like this:
    BORN 1, 3, 5, 7
    SURVIVE 2, 4
    (which is shortened to: )
    B1357/S24
(and these are the codes displayed behind the element descriptions!)

This means when there's one, three, five or seven neighbours, a new one will be created.
And if that cell has two or four neighbors, it will survive on. Otherwise it will die.
Your code could not work like that, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

I like this, but I think we have enough life, just scrolling the menu runs my mouse off the application

No, it seems more like TRON than life to me. It doesn't really act like a cellular automaton.

This could make some interesting patterns but I dont think it will be posible with the current rule system and neighberhood, I think the current neighborhood is the moore neighborhood which probably wouldnt work, I think a 5*5 neighborhood  would be needed.

It'd be really easy to code this into an element's behavior still, just it wouldn't be 'Life' at that point anymore, it'd just be a solid with birth/death mechanics vaguely like TRON.

yeah, i dont really want it to be on tpt, i just want to see what it will be like in some kind of visual/interactive program
