Shorter life for sparks

When a new spark is created, it has a life of four, which causes the lenght of the spark on any type of metal to be 8 pixels. For compact circuits that lenght often causes problems. I recently made a memory system (which uses METL and INWR) in which the length of sparks prevented it from working properly if two adjacent cells have '1' stored in them.

8px Sparks are a hell to work with when building compact circuits so please shorten them.

I will agree with this. However, you could use WIRE, which has one pixel sparks.

However logic gates in WIRE are rather large...

the problem is it might throw the time off for some saves...  And then they would no longer work.

We can't exactly just screw with mechanics older than the game itself. :( Maybe a game mod could do this, but I'm not totally sure how this would be arranged for the official.

How about the spark speed on saves could be set to accomadatesaves requiring a different spark Life? An option under the options menu. This would need to add an constant to the save format to keep whatever parameter is set by users.

How about we just make a new wire then? Call it Short Spark Wire: SSWR. Helpful enough?

    A good idea right there

     why not just use INST...

For circuits less than two particles long Jallibad, INST is actually slower. :P

A new spark maybe? SSPK, Short Spark.
