I am proposing the element Americium. Here are its properties and uses:

    Americium: AMER

    Silvery grey solid

Slowly emits a constant stream of ELEC.

Becomes ISOZ when exposed to NEUT

    Nonconductive

    Melts at 1176 degrees celsius

    Uses:

    Smoke detectors

    Cathode ray tubes

EXOT bombs due to the ELEC emission triggering the EXOT

    ELEC lasers

    EXOT reactors

     AMER = EXOT

You are really going to have a tough time Convincing us that this element is needed.

One difference though is that while EXOT can emit electrons, it only does so after it has been bombarded with them. AMER does not need such irradiation. It simply outputs a continuous stream of ELEC.

    Michael238:

    Smoke detectors

I'm confused about how that is useful in smoke detectors. How could it help to detect smoke?

A smoke detector could be made where the americium emits electrons and a metal plate turns the electrons into SPRK. If SMKE gets in between the americium and the metal, it blocks the electrons. The metal plate could be attached to a not gate so that the lack of electrons would trigger whatever was at the end of the circuit. An alternative method would be to have the americium directly touching the metal. If SMKE touches the americium, the americium sparks the metal.

That would really be a awesome save, if someone could figure how to do it without AMER. I don't know if someone has already done it or not :\

I had done that but I lost all my stamps so I don't have it anymore

easy just pick clone for it when smoke comes between it elec can't come through.

    there you go ;)

go and open up your smoke detector and see for your self just like you can find Plutonium in your Refrigertor if its made before 1973 they never die
