Art not allowed on front page?

For the second option. I think that is already allowed. And that still limits people greatly. For the first option, that sounds like a good idea, but it probably would take too much effort for anyone to actually do it. -
I prefer to see things on the front page that actually use some of the features of the game, instead of just using it as an image viewer. There are many programs designed for creating and viewing static images, but Powder Toy is not one of them. Powder Toy saves are an awful image format.
I demote nearly all non-functional art that I see on the front page. I sometimes leave particularly good art that doesn't use deco layer on the front page for a little while, but I always demote decorated blocks of DMND. -
I sort of agree ... It seems people like to get to the front page because it gives them publicity for their art. Also it denies other inventions and simulations of actual use to get on the front page. Adding an "Art tab" would only encourage the idea that TPT is for making pictures. Nothing else.

At least give all art some time on front page. It has been voted there legitimately, and I think you guys should respect that. Instead of demoting it as soon as you see it. Be nice to the new art people :3
Like maniak said, most people say that art deserves to be there. :P

Be nice to new art people? You are still forgetting the fact that this is Not Art Toy. The voting masses will vote for anything they think is cool or hip. If art stays on the front page, the great features of Powder Toy will be forgotten and all of the effort from the moderators will be in vain.

Well, I think you can just create the art in TPT, and then upload to somewhere else, like dA. I happen to have a dA group for TPT art. If you want to, you can join in it and start sharing your art creations with people who doesn't remove it if just possible. Everything has its time and place, Arts place and time doesn't seem to be here and now.

I think you're exaggerating slightly there :/
All I ask is for art saves to be treated in the same way as others. There are still many other types of saves that get front page, of course they won't be forgotten. You're acting like artists are invading the place. I'm aware of the fact that powder toy was not originally meant for art. But as mentioned before, art has become part of powder toy and there is nothing you can do about that. It's here, it's going to stay here and surely it's simple enough for it to be able to get recognition?
And yes. Be nice to new art people. Stop being a stuck up jerk who keeps complaining about how the old powder toy was better basically.

I suppose you could ban all art saves. But I was talking rouge more than the people who have the power to do so.
