@plypencil(View Post) ooooohhhh, that's right. I forgot about that. But it may still work. I'll have to think about that...
@Fast-Driver(View Post) It's not made to replace a typical computer that you or I would use, It's for running simple scripts, word processing, and browsing the internet. But it's cheap and has a lot of other methods of use.
@EqualsThree(View Post) Laptop. Solved. @GreekGuy(View Post) I don't think people who can't afford a computer can afford an internet connection... and can you send those files to someone running a Windows OS or Mac OS?
@GreekGuy(View Post) If you have any ideas let me know, at the moment I have just substituted all the dependencies of TPT (x86) with the arm variants and kept my fingers crossed. It has compiled successfully, but does not run, I think its a problem with running through vmware though so I will see when I actually run it on the raspberry.
And to anyone who says what is the point of the raspberry pi....if you cannot see the point, then quite simply. You don't want one. If you see the point, you want one. It is a hobbies't platform.
My HDMI cable, Micro USB cable, USB splitter, and keyboard mouse combo all came today. Now all I need is my SD card and WiFi dongle (due to come tomorrow). My Raspberry Pi will come at the end of June.
You can plug in a old hard drive via the USB ports, then connect the Pi to your network and use it as a dropbox so that everybody on your network can have extra space.
