I'm not just talking about favorites...
Lack of space? Perhaps there could be 2 or more subsections for each category.
Lag? Don't know what to do about that. I don't even see why many elements could cause lag, unless they were all applied at once. Maybe I'm just not that good with computers to know why.

We are already in the works of something similar. It is called Powder Sim. It should be in the mod section. take a look at the list so far.

TPT has an element limit ( 255 I beleive ) and increasing it would probably reduce the performances or increase the RAM needed... -

The Ubermod project was a similar attempt at this, there was only a handful of mods around at the time and people were asking for X element from Y mod to be included in Z mod so I saw that as a sort of solution.The Powder Toy is released under GPLv2, meaning it and all modifications of it are open source. So in theory you could take everybodies mod and build it into one mega-mod yourself, the only catch is you need to give full attribution to everyone whose work you have used.Also, this belongs in General.
