who says a metal on tpt has to melt?
No one says that all metals have to melt. I'm saying that if it doesn't conduct heat then it doesn't melt. That is very basic logic.

and why not say that they are not metals? i think this is a good idea, invent elements, so no one will complain about TPT not being realistic, and make a COND(conductor) element, put METL in solids section and make all electronics indestructible(except by EMP)

    Valid point.

You said that the threads I posted were irrelevant to this one.
no, he is suggesting a conductor that only conducts electricity and not heat.
And I said that they were because if it does not conduct heat, then it is an indestructible conductor and thus, the threads are relevant.

What do you think a conductor that only conducts electricity and not heat is?
Unmeltable, unburnable, unbreakable with pressure, and thus an indestructible conductor.

    Edit:
and why not say that they are not metals? i think this is a good idea, invent elements, so no one will complain about TPT not being realistic, and make a COND(conductor) element, put METL in solids section and make all electronics indestructible(except by EMP)
Because making everything indestructible is pointless and save breaking, for one.

but an element that is indestructible AND conducts heat would affect other elements, unwanted effect

Because making everything indestructible is pointless and save breaking, for one.

i've never seen a save that uses physical props of any electronic element

Ever tried insulator? Because that's what it was invented for.

i've never seen a save that uses physical props of any electronic element
Really? You've never seen any save where PSCN, NSCN, NTCT, PTCT, or other electronics have melted?
Are you sure you've played this game?

Right, thats fucking it. I've had enough.

okay, just picture METL that doesn't conduct heat, because that is what is beeing suggested here. Yes it won't melt, yes it may gain extra properties, but that is not the point here. He is suggesting a conducter that doesn't conduct heat. Nothing else.

insulator burns, and i've never seen a save that uses "melting PSCN" or "burning INSL"

    give me an example

    @therocketeer

or just add top right button "indestructible electronics" next to sand mode and gravity grid

And I gave you three specific threads which have the same idea rejected.
Irrelevant what you think it is, what it is is an indestructible conductor. And that has been suggested and rejected plenty of times.

These two, being destructible, require the electronics to melt.
These three, being lasers, require meltable targets.

    >Necroing Vs. Creating Dupe Thread

    which would you choose?

also, those threads are about an "indestructable conducter" this thread is about "heat insulating conductor".
