I was thinking whether it would be a good idea for solids to respond to extreme gravity fields above a certain threshold the same way goo responds to air pressure.

Perhaps the only difference would be that they wouldn't disappear after a while unlike goo.

Indeed. I think everything except bhol, whol, dmnd, void, vent and vacu should be affected.
