@hacker45(View Post) This is not true in the slightest. You are actually using Post hoc ergo propter hoc. The actual case is that new users usually make bad ideas and older users usually make good ideas.
@hacker45(View Post) It's because new users suggest things already suggested or that TPT don't need, experienced users know what have been suggested and what would be a good addition to TPT.
@hacker45 also, the way you suggest something is also important, the way you suggest something determines the respect you gain. Well structured suggestions will convey the information more clearly and make it look more professional, this includes grammar and the actual suggestion itself.
@hacker45(View Post) take it like this: If a 6th grader writes an essay, it will be no where near a 12th grader's essay. The 12th grader's will take the 6th grader's essay, laugh, and walk away. But 6th grader's essays will be looked up upon by 6th grader's. and in rare cases, a 6th grader will make a really good essay that will impress even 12th graders, but only rarely. In that case, we would call them a advanced 6th grader
replace: 6th grader->noob 12th grader->average TPT user essay->element suggestion writes-> writes take->look at advanced 6th grader-newbie
i also find it a little stupid to have an element suggestion forum if none of the ones suggested become official...but that is just my opinion tell me what you think...
@hacker45(View Post) All that tells me is that most of the suggestions are horrible. Also, Mercury and a few others have become official, so don't talk about what you don't know.
@hacker45(View Post) It is very very rare that someone's suggested element is programmed into the game.
It is not stupid, we have many elements already and we only choose suggested elements that can serve a good purpose, instead of another particle that can be used the same way, or if the function of the suggested element is already possible in the game.
There is a element suggestion forum for two reasons: 1) Clutters up the regular Feedback forum 2) We need ideas for new, creative and useful particles. However, no one apparently reads the stickies, so stupid threads are created most of the time.
