You go into a future where he is saved, a future AFTER you went back in time so it is done you have no reason to do it again or to not do it again.

hes saying if you did it then you wouldnt need to so you would never have done it therefore you wouldnt be able to go to a different future because you never did any of the other things as you had no reason to

Back to the Abe lincoln one, you would go into a future where you ALREADY saved abe so you would not need to do it agoin it is not a paradox because you dont go back to a time before the time you left, you go to a time after and you know it already happened so your reason was to change history.

I get what you are trying to say, but you're viewing it incorrectly. So, you stopped the assassination. The timeline goes on, without him being killed, and it never goes in any history books or anything. Now your generation is around, and you are never told that he was assassinated, because he wasn't. So what would be your reason to go back in time? None. So, we have a paradox. Can somebody else try to explain it?

Ok, when you kill him, you go back to the present time. Another one of you from another time doesn't know that he was assassinated and stuff, but the one of you that actually killed boothe goes to the present and knows what happened so he does have a reason and the one from the other time doesn't know that Abe was Eva assassinated so he doesn't do it so it doesnt go to the next time and then the you from that time does save Abe and then the one from the next time doesn't and it keeps repeating. So u are looking at it as if the 2 different times affect each other when really, they each go thier own way. Get it?

I'm done with this, pointless arguing won't get anyone anywhere. If somebody else wants to try to explain it, that's fine. I don't want to spam the forums, and I don't want to be mean to anyone (even though I'm really good at that). I try not to get in flame wars.

Me either, just sayin' it was a good argument, not a flame war. Nothin better than a good argumant once in a while.

You kill him, so you don't exist, but if you don't exist you can't have killed him, so therefore you do exist, which means you could have killed him, which.......

Egg. Lizards were laying eggs far before chickens existed. What I believe you mean is "What came first, the chicken's egg or a chicken?"
