Asking how to be a mod breaks the rules, breaking the rules reduces the chance of being a mod. -
*facepalm* He should be allowed to ask an honest question without being threatened! The advertisement of the forum rules is pretty bad, and he is just being curious. He specifically said he wasn't asking to be a mod, just how mods are chosen! How is he supposed to know without asking? He obviously does not wish to be one! He is new here, give him a break!
Man, just stop being so anal! It's not like not dobbing someone in will get you punished! I personally think that that rule is poorly worded. I will PM Lockheed to talk to him about it. -
I just PMed Lockheed to talk about possibly rewording the rule to make it more clear, and changing it so asking about how mods are chosen should not reduce chances of anything.

The rule says how people become mods: "There are no guidelines to follow for being made one, and the status is given for private reasons" it also warns that being a moderator isn't that great or special. -

Don't ask how to be a moderator. There are no guidelines to follow for being made one, and the status is given for private reasons. If you do ask about it, the chances of being made a moderator become significantly smaller, and even then it's not that great or special being one.
