You become him, but, knowing that you have taken over his body, an angry, suspicious mob kills you. Nervous that this may have been the government's doing, they riot through the capital, looting and pillaging like the Vikings of lore. Their numbers grow, as more people discover that living under what they view as a tyrannical government is not actually required of them. The movement spreads, and soon, they have overrun military compounds. They now have guns, tanks, and much more. People are leaving America in torrents. Our economy is completely destroyed.

Granted. However, you instantly vanish due to a paradox. The paradox is that you cannot create a rock so heavy that you cannot lift it, so you are not omnipotent. At the same time, if you do create the rock, you cannot lift it because it is too heavy, so again, you are not omnipotent.

Not quite what omnipotent means...And besides, I can survive paradoxes, I'm omnipotent.

Omnipotent means that you can do literally anything. Unfortunately, as the above corruption shows, it is impossible to be omnipotent, since it would inevitably cause that paradox or one like it.
